Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record of leading training and development functions and contributing to organisational effectiveness.
As the Service Alignment Lead you will play a key role in the development of the Service through the ambitious Workforce Transformation Programme.
The work the Service undertakes across the County is diverse and the workforce consists of both operational and non-operational roles. In this challenging role you will identify, develop and implement key strategies for development across all roles, at all levels of the Organisation.
- You will have the ability to influence across the organisation.
- You will posses strong leadership and management skills and be an effective strategic thinker; able to navigate complex problems and deliver practical solutions.
- You will have a strong drive to succeed against a challenging financial back drop and you will be able to demonstrate your experience of balancing risk factors in decision making to support organisational effectiveness.
- You will apply your knowledge of procurement process and understanding of learning and development solutions to deliver an efficient and effective training and development function.
- The successful applicant will have experience of working across a large organisation, preferably one of the Blue Light services or other public sector experience.
This is an exciting role and a great opportunity for a dynamic individual who is seeking to be challenged and keen to be part of a progressive organisation that has a bold ambition of becoming one of the best fire and rescue services in the UK.
